Austin City Limits Music Festival, Austin, TX - 26-28th Sept. 2008
Austin City Limits Music Festival at Zilker Park in Austin, is already filling up fast with top music artists and performers – but who will be performing? Stretching over three days and on an amazing eight stages, this festival is the one which beats all others, and there will be one hundred and thirty bands to fill every spare minute! As always, the speculation is already rife as to who will play at the 2008 Austin City Limits Music Festival, with top names such as Kanye West, Snow Patrol and even the crooner Tom Jones being suggested by loyal fans!
Last year’s festival included massive artists such as Bob Dylan, Björk, Arctic Monkeys and My Morning Jacket. Die hard fans have been calling out for the return of these bands because the festival was so good last time, but as we know, time does not stand still and the 2008 Austin City Limits Music Festival cannot possibly be the same as before – it will be better!
We have all missed the early bird ticket prices but if you act quickly there are still some regular 3-day passes ($170) available, but I wouldn’t hang around if I were you because this festival is going to be massive.
Another incredible reason to go to the Austin City Limits Music Festival is the artist signing sessions. I don’t know how they keep their hands working, but you can get merchandise actually signed by the bands (you get to meet them face to face too!). It’s worth the queues.
There are also always a wide range of aftershow events, with musicians and singers from all over. Last year saw a great set from Stephen Marley – so these are quality performers. Whatever your taste in music, there is nothing like the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
